Do you offer indoor and outdoor locations for an event?
Yes! We offer our gorgeous modern-day crib barn for indoor events. We also have several outdoor locations throughout the grounds that are perfect for any event.
Am I able to host an event or wedding on another day besides Saturday?
We are available for rental seven days a week.
Do you provide tables, chairs, linens and serving ware?
Historic Travellers Rest provides 150 black and chrome lecture-style chairs, 20 round tables (60”diameter) and 12 rectangular tables (6’ long) at no additional cost, for use in the barn only.
Do you require special events insurance?
Yes as per industry requirement
Who is responsible for cleaning and setup?
The renter is responsible for all setup for his/her event as well as pulling all trash.
Where do I park?
Our parking area is located in the large, grassy meadow at the front of the property. No parking is allowed near the historic house or on the grounds. Valet parking and/or parking attendants are required for events.
What happens if I have an outdoor event, and it rains?
All outdoor events are subject to inclement weather. All contracted events, whether indoor or outdoor, cannot be cancelled due to weather.
Can I serve alcohol?
All alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender and only to persons over the age of 21. Historic Travellers Rest can provide you with contact information for our preferred bartending vendors.
When can I set up?
All set up, decorating and delivery must take place during your contracted time. Your rental package does not include the day before for set-up or drop off of items.
How late can I stay?
The property must be free and clear of all people, vendors and rental items by 12 Midnight. Historic Travellers Rest must be able to lock the property at 12 Midnight or you will lose your security deposit.
Do you have Dressing rooms?
Yes. We have a multi use room that can be used for the bride and bridesmaids to dress in or as a holding area. We do not have a bridal suite.
What is the maximum capacity of your venue?
300 guests with the use of a tent.
How close are you to downtown Nashville?
We are exactly 6 miles south of downtown Nashville.
Will someone from Historic Travellers Rest be on property during my event?
Yes we have an event supervisor that represents our venue and has access to all areas of the property.
